Functions

  • Promoting the engineering profession countrywide through school visits, conferences, boot camps, etc
  • Encouraging and assisting learners who wish to study engineering to make the right career choice through career guidance events countrywide
  • Supporting and nurturing engineering students to adopt and maintain professionalism and commitment to innovative approaches in solving engineering problems for Namibia and Africa at large
  • Facilitating the dissemination of profession-based resources to graduates, supporting them towards registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN)
  • Assisting members and member companies to excel unhindered in their career paths and business ventures
  • Advocating for the needs of the engineering and the general technical community
  • Building bridges of understanding between industry and members so as to unlock opportunities for all
  • Bringing together all technical professionals across the country under one umbrella, one voice and one purpose
  • Providing a shelter of common purpose to all members and encouraging national teamwork through professional social networking events
  • Encouraging volunteerism among members so they may seek to positively impact their communities
  • Promoting engineering and affiliated firms to ensure that they thrive for the good of the entire country and continent 
  • Promoting ingenuity, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, research, professionalism and excellence in STEM 
  • Participating in informing and influencing government policy with regards to the engineering profession and professionals.
